Artistic Director & Choreographer
Shane Carpenter is a singer/dancer/actor who has been working and teaching in the performing arts for the last 28 years. Shane landed his first "big role" as Huck Finn in a regional tour of Big River. He has been a performer (dancing, singing and acting) at Paramount Kings Island, Disney World and for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Shane coached the Columbus Destroyers Bombshells at Nationwide Arena. He also choreographed the 2007 season opener for the Cleveland Cavs Girls. He has been a guest instructor for Auburn University in Alabama & the MAP program at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, as well as teaching and choreographing at various studios in the Midwest. He has choreographed for IMAGINE Theater Productions and most recently for Delaware Hayes’ Spring Musical and Pickerington Central’s Spring Musical.
Shane has won many regional and national choreography awards and has former students dancing professionally and in colleges all over the country.
He is proud to be the Artistic Director for Infusion Dance and equally proud to share his knowledge, experience and passion with his students and fellow teachers.
Lyrical / Contemporary / Jazz / Ballet
Mia is a Columbus, Ohio native and an Infusion Dance alumna. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in dance (ballet concentration) under the direction of Katie Langan. At MMC, she had the opportunity to perform in works choreographed by Robert Battle, Cherice Barton, Larry Keigwin, Twyla Tharp, Shen Wei, Mark Morris, Lar Lubovitch, and Loni Landon. She was also a member of the Marymount Manhattan College Dance Company from 2010-2013. She spent two seasons with the contemporary dance company BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance, in which she has toured domestically and performed at various New York City theaters. Mia has performed with the dance company 10 Hairy Legs Projects, in their modern dance rendition of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. She is a participating dancer in The Real Make Collective, under the choreographic direction of Sonya Tayeh. The most recent projects being Tayeh’s 2015/2016 residency at New York Live Arts for the dance symphony titled You’ll Still Call Me By Name, as well as a workshop at Vineyard Arts Project for the musical titled The Lucky Ones, commissioned by the theater company Ars Nova and directed by Anne Kauffman. She has also had the privilege to assist choreographers Sonya Tayeh, Jenn Freeman, and Brooke Pierotti in various teaching and choreographic endeavors.
ALIANE BAQUEROT WILSON
LYRICAL / JAZZ / MUSICAL THEATER / STRETCH AND CONDITIONING
Aliane was born and raised in NYC where she trained in dance and gymnastics from an early age. She was a member of the 1996 Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics Team.
Aliane was in the original Broadway Cast of Movin’ Out, as well as Saturday Night Fever. She played a showgirl in Spiderman 3 and a “Paris Dancer” in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She has danced on the Emmy and VMA Awards and has performed with Brittney Spears, Tony Bennett, Christina Alquilera and Michael Jackson.
Aliane resides in Worthington with her husband, former Olympic gymnast Blaine Wilson and their two sons, Jackson and Bodhi. Together they own Integrity Athletics. We are thrilled to have her teaching and mentoring our students.
Josh Seibel, a native of Arizona, began his professional training at the Houston Ballet Ben Stevenson Academy. He trained under Claudio Muñoz, Lazaro Carreño and Phillip Broomhead. At 16, he participated in the Prix de Lausanne and finished in the semi-finals. The following year, he was accepted into the Houston Ballet, and Ballet Memphis two years later. Mr. Seibel joined Ballet San Jose in 2010 and BalletMet in 2015.
TAP / JAZZ / MUSICAL THEATER
Jamie is from Westerville, Ohio where she grew up dancing for 13 years studying in jazz, tap, musical theater, contemporary, ballet, and hip hop. During her years of growing up she was a featured dancer for Joel Grey in Gala Cabaret, studied under scholarship in Chicago with The Gus Giordano Company and lived and trained in NYC as a summer scholarship recipient with NYCDA. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Wright State University. While still in college, she was a featured dancer and tumbler at Paramount’s Kings Island, a dancer in the theater production of “Crazy For You”, a featured dancer in Fragment for Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. After college, Jamie moved to NYC and was represented by TnP Talent Agency. She trained and performed for 3 ½ years under the direction of Brian Thomas and Glenn Douglas Packard. Jamie has been teaching and choreographing for over 16 years and is known for her innovative and creative work. During her 2 years at Infusion Dance, Jamie has quickly become a favorite of both students and parents. She resides in Westerville with husband Eric and their two children, Ella and Colin.
Bethany Lee, originally from Charlotte, N.C., returns to BalletMet for her 11th season. She graduated from Houston Ballet in spring 2005 where she was a part of Houston Ballet II on full scholarship. While in Houston, she enjoyed working with such choreographers as Stanton Welch and Claudio Muñoz. In June 2010, Ms. Lee enjoyed performing with BalletMet in Russia at the Moscow International Contemporary Dance Festival. In past seasons, Ms. Lee has enjoyed performing the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Lucy in David Nixon’s Dracula, Amedeo Amodio’s Afternoon of a Faun, the Principal in Summer from James Kudelka’s The Four Seasons, as well as Daisy in Jimmy Orrante’s The Great Gatsby.
Kerri Riccardi, a New York native, is thrilled to be teaching at Infusion Dance. Ms. Riccardi has trained at the School of American Ballet and Ballet Academy East in New York City. Upon graduating, Ms. Riccardi joined BalletMet as a trainee and then went on to dance with the company for five seasons. She has had the pleasure perform works by world-renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, James Kudelka, David Nixon, Darrell Grand Moultrie, and Gustavo Ramirez Sansano. Ms. Riccardi is now dancing for Columbus Dance Theatre under the direction of Tim Veach.
Kristie Latham is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where she trained with Oleg Briansky and Mirelle Briane. She trained at The Rock School for Dance Education under the direction of Bo and Stephanie Spassoff where she received a Full Merit Scholarship from 2004-2008. She was a top 12 finalist in the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City in 2007. Kristie has danced with BalletNext, Ballet Memphis, Indianapolis City Ballet, and has been a company member with BalletMet since 2013.
A native of Columbus OH, Makahla Ross has been dancing since the early age of four. She studied at Infusion Dance, under the direction of Shane Carpenter, and trained in contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, tap, salsa, and ballet. Makahla is currently working with some of today's top choreographers, and has been a featured dancer along side of Pharrell, Soulja Boy, Vanilla Ice, Twenty One Pilots, and Daft Punk. She has also danced in various award shows including The American Music Awards, The GRAMMY'S, and The Streamy Awards.
Makahla has also been a featured dancer in many music videos such as Akon, Pitbull, and Dj Felli Fel's "Boomerang", Kreayshawn's "Go Hard", and Pixie Lott's single "All About Tonight".
